“I couldn’t have asked for a more rewarding career.”

William S. Lucarelli

Bill Lucarelli (or “Luke” as he is called by his friends and colleagues) is CHA’s Chief Operating Officer. He started with CHA fresh out of college as a field inspector. Now, over 30 years later, he is CHA’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Luke’s story is similar to those of many CHA senior managers.

Thanks to his dedication and ambition, Luke was promoted several times. He started as a field inspector, eventually becoming a field surveyor. In time, he was named Survey Group Manager. His keen business sense then led to his being named Director of Office Development, where he engineered CHA’s geographic expansion. In this position, he was able to play a key role in establishing CHA as a reputable firm in the Southeastern United States. Now, as COO, Luke oversees all of CHA’s day-to-day office operations across the United States, including the human resources and information technology functions. He also serves as Director of CHA’s Special & Technical Services Division.

Luke credits his success not only to his commitment to pursuing his goals, but to all the mentors he’s had in his 30+ years at CHA. “Looking back, I couldn’t have asked for a more rewarding career,” he said. “I’ve worked with some of the most talented individuals in our industry. Early on, CHA’s management took me in and taught me everything I needed to know. They gave me progressively more responsibility as time went on. Thanks to them, I’ve had the opportunity to play a major role in shaping CHA into the full-service, growth-oriented firm it is today.”
