Albany, New York (August 18, 2008) – Clough, Harbour & Associates LLP (CHA), a full service engineering firm headquartered in Albany, New York, announced today that it has opened new offices in Baltimore, Maryland and Pittsburgh, PA. The opening of these locations brings CHA’s total number of offices to 30.

Initially, the Baltimore office will be staffed to serve CHA’s newest electric utility client, Baltimore Gas and Electric (BG&E), which recently contracted with CHA to provide electric distribution system design services through 2010. BG&E joins National Grid, Consolidated Edison, and Northeast Utilities as major electric utility clients.

The Pittsburgh office will support CHA’s transportation and airport engineering activities in western Pennsylvania. Home to one of the largest in-state transportation networks in the US, Pennsylvania is expected to receive significant transportation funding support from the federal government. In addition, the firm’s national airport engineering operations will be managed out of the new Pittsburgh office.

The firm eventually plans to offer its entire range of services from both offices. "Having a presence in Baltimore and Pittsburgh will present numerous opportunities, particularly in the transportation, aviation, commercial land development, higher education, healthcare, and research and development sectors," said Raymond J. Kinley, CEO. "Many of our established national clients have facilities in both regions as well."
