CHA has acquired Huntley Partners, a premier economic development consulting firm in Atlanta, GA. CHA also named the firm's founder, Walter R. Huntley, Jr. Senior Vice President and Director of Strategic Client Development.
Huntley will work with CHA's Development Solutions group, headed by CHA's planning director, Ken Gifford, RLA. Gifford and Huntley will work with a team of economists, attorneys, financial partners and economic development professionals to help CHA's clients plan, fund and execute their projects, providing financing, feasibility studies, market analyses, economic impact studies, master planning, real estate acquisition, community participation, environmental studies, permitting, design and construction.
Huntley has 42 years' experience in economic and community development. He served for 10 years as the president of the Atlanta Economic Development Corporation. His public service record includes high-level positions in City of Atlanta government, including chief of staff to former Atlanta Mayor Maynard Jackson. He has been recognized as one of the 100 Most Influential Georgians by Georgia Trend magazine. He will report directly to CHA's CEO, Raymond Rudolph Jr., PE.
Gifford has 43 years' experience in real estate development, economic development, urban planning and design, and project financing. He was Charleston, SC's first director of downtown revitalization as well as director of planning, programming and budget for the State University of NY Construction Fund.
